Every year, 10 million children under five die from preventable and treatable diseases. They’re not dying from mysterious, incurable diseases, but from diarrhea, pneumonia, malnutrition and other causes that would be unthinkable in our own country.

Outreach Program with Sulit and Bantay Bata

Posted in Bantay Bata, Outreach Program, Sulit.com.ph, travel, xave on Oktubre 20, 2008 by aicute12

Last Saturday, October 18, 2008, ABS-CBN Foundation, through Bantay-Bata 163, organized a Community Outreach Program for the 16th Children’s Month Celebration held in North Hills Village Elementary School, Norzagaray, Bulacan.
This event was co-sponsored by Sulit.com.ph in celebration of Sulit.com.ph’s 2nd year anniversary last September. Bantay-Bata 163 gave the opportunity for Sulit.com.ph to join the program as volunteers during the event and we were able to organize a group of 40 volunteers (comprising of 40 Sulitizens with their friends and family) to help during the event proper.
The Sulit.com.ph Community Outreach volunteers met at Edsa Central as early as 5:00 a.m. and we were able to leave EDSA Central at 6:15 a.m. heading to our 1st stop of the day, The Children’s Village at Bgy. Partida, Norzagaray Bulacan.
We arrived at The Children’s Village at 7:30 a.m. and met the other Sulitizen Volunteers. It was also in Children’s Village that we met with the Bantay-Bata 163 Organizers. From Children’s Village, our convoy headed to North Hills Village Elementary School at around 8:00 a.m. where we were briefed and organized into different groups to help the other Bantay-Bata 163 volunteers for the entire duration of the program.
The community outreach program lasted until 12:00 p.m. and it was only by then that the volunteers were able to rest and eat lunch. After eating lunch, resting and taking pictures, our convoy headed back to the Children’s Village. We were really fortunate to be given the opportunity by Bantay-Bata 163 to explore the village and we were given an introduction on what the village is all about.

Buried Alive

We went to SM Manila to watch Buried ALive.. The movie started exactly 7:15pm..

This is about a group of friends who went to an Old ranch and turns out that 3 of them died, 2 of them were buried alive.. 1 of them escaped..

I don’t know, but in my opinion, hindi ko talaga siya nagustuhan, yes, nakakatakot ng konti, pero sobrang bitin ang ending.. Try to watch this movie for you to find out..
